The Season 5 premiere episode of Yellowstone will air in select AMC theaters two weeks before its Nov. 13 release.

Post-pandemic films have struggled somewhat to bring audiences back to theaters, especially when it’s not franchise installments or Marvel Cinematic Universe related in any way. It looks like AMC Theaters are trying to attract more people to their establishments by showing TV episodes on their big screens in addition to new blockbusters like black adam, which should be released everywhere this weekend. One series in particular, the Montana set Yellowstonewill see its Season 5 premiere air on select AMC screens two weeks before its television premiere, scheduled for November 13.
According to a report by Collider, Yellowstone and the new series king of tulsa will begin their next seasons two weeks before their premiere dates at 100 AMC locations across the country. Both shows are part of the Paramount family and were created by Taylor Sheridan, known for Yellowstone spin off 1883the next 1923as well as blockbuster movies like Against all odds and Sicario. In the spirit of Halloween, Collider reports that some AMC sites may be handing out prizes, such as merchandise discounts, product giveaways, and discount codes to those who dress up as favorites. Yellowstone began its run on the Paramount Network in 2018, with an impressive ensemble cast that includes veteran movie star Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, The hunger Games actor Wes Bentley, Kelly Reillyand Goodwill hunting performer Cole Hauser. The series is set in Montana and deals with the Costner character of John Dutton and his family, the owners of a sprawling ranch, and the conflicts that arise with their neighbors on a vicious and dangerous level.
With the upcoming fifth season, the series has taken on new life with past episodes available to stream on Peacock, breaking records with a trailer which debuted this summer to the tune of 14.4 million views in 24 hours.
After the success of Yellowstone for the Paramount Network, Taylor Sheridan became a hot commodity as a writer and producer, signaling that his involvement with Paramount would not end with Yellowstone only.
The prequel miniseries 1883 was developed and premiered on Paramount+ in 2021 starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, and another prequel series titled 1923 is set to hit the streamer in December, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Another spin-off called 666 set in present-day Texas will debut in the near future, with all of those shows featuring Sheridan as a creator.
king of tulsaalso created by Taylor Sheridan, will not be tied to the Yellowstone franchise but will play Sylvester Stallone as mob captain Dwight “The General” Manfredi, focusing on his release from prison and his new life as Manfredi sets up a criminal organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The series will star Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Garret Hedlund and Desperate Housewives former Dana Delany. While Sheridan is listed as the creator of the new series, Terence Winter of The Sopranos will serve as the show’s showrunner and executive producer alongside Sheridan.
