Rachel Nichols has credits dating back to 2000. Her big breakthrough, however, came in 2005, when she starred in two different TV shows simultaneously for a total of 30 episodes in 2005 and 2006.
The first role was in the short-lived ‘The Inside’, which saw her as the title character of Special Agent Rebecca Locke, who was abducted at the age of 10 and spent 18 months in captivity before escaping. escape (via PopGurls). She has performed alongside a host of household names in the industry, including Adam Baldwin (“Independence Day”, “The Patriot”), Peter Coyote (“ET the Extra-Terrestrial”, “A Walk to Remember”) and Garret Dillahunt (“12 Years a Slave”, “No Country for Old Men”).
At the same time, Nichols became a regular on the final season of “Alias” alongside Jennifer Garner. Her character, Rachel Gibson, started as an agent for the criminal organization The Shed under Gordon Dean (Tyrees Allen), who recruited her under the guise that it was a black-ops division of the CIA. After discovering the truth, however, she destroyed the shed – and ultimately Dean himself. Viewers spent the final season learning that Gibson’s life paralleled that of Sydney Bristow (Garner) in many ways. They became friends, colleagues and roommates. In the finale, it is revealed that she has moved on to deep undercover operations for the CIA.
