The Mid-Maine Chamber Golf Classic another hit

Central Maine’s most prized golf tournament fundraiser took place under clear skies on Monday, June 6 at the Waterville Country Club. Thirty-six teams took part in the shotgun rush.

Nearly 50 companies provided sponsorship or in-kind donations for the tournament.

“We were thrilled to be part of this year’s event once again – and had a waiting list of teams wanting to participate,” said Kim Lindlof, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of central Maine. “We were also happy that the weather cooperated, with a beautiful sunny day from the Chamber of Commerce and an enjoyable day of golf for everyone involved.”

The winners were:

Summer barbecue package: Chad Kelly, Bangor Savings Bank;

50/50 winner: Brian Robbins, Jr. – Central Maine Power Co.;

Raw team score for first place: Mid-Maine Marine—Garret Prelgovisk, Rob Moody, Scott McManaman, Tim Mitchell;

Raw team score for second place: The insurance guys—Gary Levesque, Shawn Michaud, Cliff Hannon, Christian Gabrielsen;

Raw team score for third place: Damon’s Drink—Jeff Damon, Mark McGowan, Luke Collier, Flint Collier;

Net team score for first place: Central Maine Motors Auto Group—Chris Gaunce, Matt Loubier, Shad West, Jason Lyford;

Net team score for second place: Liquidation of Caswell – Dwight Leighton, Paul Stevens, Jon Dubois, Brian Gordon;

Net team score for third place: Nicholson, Michaud & Cie—Derek Gervais, Scott Nivus, Erik Nadeau, Steve Falcom;

Longest trip – Male: Chris Farrar-Huhtamaki; Female: Sawyer Boulette—Alfond Youth and Community Centre;

Straightest Drive – Male: Rob Moody – Mid Maine Navy; Female: Laura Rowe – MHM Insurance;

Closest to pin—hole #2: Man: Scott McManaman – Mid Maine Navy; Female: Sarah Vanderwood-AT&T;

Closest to Pin—Hole #6: Male: Jeff Damon – Damon’s drink;

Closest to Pin—Hole #13: Male: Travis Hotham -Drink of the Valley;

Closest to Pin—Hole #16: Male: Shad West-Central Maine Motors Auto Group; Female: Sawyer Boulette – Alfond Youth and Community Centre;

Highest team score: Standard sealing—Isaac Thompson, Theresa Thompson, Patrick Michaud, Jen Michaud.
