(Press release) World Cup Dreams announces November grant recipients – FasterSkier.com

The World Cup Dreams Foundation is delighted to announce its November scholarship recipients. After receiving more than 150 applications from athletes from across the country of athletes competing in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, freestyle, freestyle skiing, Nordic combined and jumping ski, we have selected 16 grant recipients, each of whom will receive a grant of $ 1,500 to help offset training and competition costs.

In the fall of 2021, the WCD allocated more than $ 200,000 in direct funding to athletes. World Cup Dreams decided to open a second round of grants in November, totaling $ 24,000 in additional funding to help support aspiring athletes from a wide variety of backgrounds.

“We were impressed with the range of athletes who applied. This is a testament to our reach in the world of snow sports and skiing and also to the great need for financial support from the community. We want to help give athletes and families an extra boost to keep going because, as we all know, keeping athletes involved is the only way to move them forward, ”said Tommy Biesemeyer, Executive Director of World Cup Dreams .

In the spring of 2021, the WCD and the T2 Foundation merged to form a single organization and took on the responsibility of funding the athletes who strive to be the best in the world. WCD exists to help keep the best athletes in the game – not just the best athletes who can afford to pursue their dreams.
