The 10th Annual Summer Showdown at Evergreen Speedway is fast approaching. This year’s Summer Showdown features two exceptional nights of NASCAR Short Track racing on Friday July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd.

Drivers from across the West Coast and across the country create one of the largest driver fields in the nation. With just 10 days to go, more than 55 teams have registered for the flagship Pro Late and Super Late Model events. Friday night, July 22, the NASCAR Pro Late Models will sprint full throttle toward a 100-lap shootout. Saturday’s Summer Showdown 200 for Super Late Models is the first Super Late Model show in the West.

The Summer Showdown 2021 has returned after a year without Covid 19. Last season Evergreen created additional bonuses for Summer Showdown to improve the purse and this will continue in 2022! If the winner of the Pro Late Model race also wins the Super Late Model race on Saturday, the winner will pocket $35,000 in prize money in the main purse plus a bonus of $35,000 for winning both races. The team competing in both races can also collect an additional $10,000 for placing in the Top 3 in both events.

The registered field to date includes 2017—2018 – 2019 Summer Showdown winner Preston Peltier, 2016 winner Tayler Riddle and his brother Owen Riddle, last year’s Showdown champion. There are plenty of challengers who have come close, like NASCAR Pro Series and SRL champion Derek Thorn, multi-time champion and North West legend Garret Evans who is fresh off his Big Track win.

Summer Showdown ’22 will see the return of the VIP experience for fans. This package includes two-day admission, a catered VIP lunch, adult beverages, reserved seating, a goodie bag, and a meet-and-greet with the driver, all for one low price of $70 per person.
Summer Showdown is listed as a Speedway Illustrated bucket list race! Don’t miss this year!
